More Incredible Bargains on China Trips

China is one of the biggest values on the planet for early 2011 travel. First, we saw eight days in China for under $800 and now Travel Ticker has tipped us off to a nine-day trip to Beijing and Shanghai from $977, including round-trip air from San Francisco, an internal flight, and seven nights split between the two cities, and all taxes and fees. Departures are available in February and March. Leaving from Los Angeles tacks on $50; New York is $100 extra.

As with the eight-day trip, this package doesn't offer luxury or even any structured activities. But with hotel stays, airfare, and taxes covered for under $1,000, this trip is a fantastic entry point to the country—and costs about the same as you'd pay for just a transpacific flight alone. (Just remember you'll need a visa to visit China.) Oh, and here's our advice on what—and where—to eat once you land.
