Kimpton Hotels has launched a second-half-of-summer sale offering substantial savings on properties in the Washington, D.C. area, but you'll have to act fast to book them online. Much like the time-sensitive deals happening at JDV hotels in California, the Friday Frenzy promotion will put a small block of hotel rooms on sale starting at 9 a.m. every Friday morning through Labor Day.

Today's kick-off specials include 50 room nights at the Palomar Washington D.C. for $50, a savings of up to 75 percent off the regular rate for stays before September 6. The Hotel Monaco Alexandria meanwhile is offering a nightly credit of $59, to be used on dining at the hotel restaurant or any incidental charges, on stays of any length through September 12.

While Kimpton hasn't announced its full spectrum of upcoming deals—you'll have to check in every Friday morning—next week promises specials at the Hotel Madera and the Hotel Monaco Baltimore.
