It seems the good folks at Leading Hotels of the World have been working extra hard to save you cash, with several impressive specials currently running at 450 member hotels from Amalfi to Zimbabwe. Here's a brief sampling:
Leading Last Minute Travel: If you suddenly find yourself with a few free days in the very near future, you can take advantage of 40 percent savings on 94 LHW properties. Just book your trip three weeks in advance to enjoy the discount. Take the Cuisinart Resort & Spa in Anguilla, for example. This small, Mediterranean-style property has repeatedly made Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List of the world's best hotels. Guests love its private terraces, white-sand beaches, and huge Venus Spa. We test-booked the Cuisinart through LHW for the weekend of August 6 and found a luxury oceanview room, a sprawling 900 square feet in size, for $288 per night including all taxes, fees, and service charges. The regular rate comes to nearly $500 per night.
One more Night: 3 for 2: What's better than getting your third night at a fab hotel for free? Getting this deal at dozens of fab hotels around the globe, that's what. We tried the Elysian Hotel. This new 188-room charmer combines classic Greek and French couture in the heart of Chicago's tony Gold Coast shopping district. It was recently featured in the Hot List of the world's best new hotels. We test-booked the weekend of August 6 through LHW and got a 775-square-foot Executive Suite with a fireplace and a living room for $1,371—that includes three nights and all taxes and fees. The regular rate for this room is $1,956. That's more than 30 percent savings.
