A view of North Peak at Keystone Resort.
It's always frustrating to find out that your vacation plans fall on the blackout dates for a special deal, especially if your travel time is limited to a specific week due to school holidays. For skiers, that's usually the case during the week of February's President's Day and the entire month of March. Keystone Resort in Colorado is instead lifting the blackout dates precisely during its busiest ski months to offer a Spring Break On Us promotion of a third night free (for certain weeks you'll get the fourth night free).
Rates for this promotion begin as low as $159 per person for three nights in a two-bedroom condo (based on quad occupancy), and there are more than 20 different hotels and condos at varying price points to choose from. We test-booked a three-night stay February 16-19 at the plush Keystone Lodge & Spa and were able to book a double room for $761.16 (including taxes and fees). Compare that to the $896.15 it would cost without the Spring Break On Us promotion—a savings of 15%, and during the peak ski season to boot.
Dates: Book by March 31, 2010 for stays February 16-April, 10, 2010. A three-night minimum stay is required; a four-night minimum stay is required the weeks of March 13-20 and March 28-April 10.
How to book: You can book your stay online or by calling 888-222-9285.
