The Chateau Lafayette at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort was built as replica of The Ritz in Paris.
Normally we wouldn't single out a resort-credit deal that wasn't offered on top of a discounted room rate, but this resort credit offer from Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, 70 miles south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, caught our attention because the generous $200 resort credit is good for each night. And at this all-season resort on 2,000 acres you are likely to spend every penny of the credit during your stay.
Nemacolin's Eleventh Hour Escape package consists of a $200 resort credit per room per night in all of its accommodations, and also includes the $15 per day resort fee (which covers Wi-Fi access, valet parking, and local calls, among other things). The credit can be applied to dining, spa services, activities which range from golf to clay shooting to horseback riding, and more.
The travel dates for this deal are limited—basically a long weekend each month in November, December, and January—but if these dates suit your travel plans, it could mean big savings on your vacation.
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort consists of three hotels: the original Tudor-style Lodge, the French-style Chateau Lafayette, and the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired Falling Rock; as well as townhomes. Our test booking for the December 10-13 dates (a three-night long weekend) showed that the package rates are very close to the standard rates. The Eleventh Hour Escape price for a King room at The Lodge, for example, averages out to $358 per night (including taxes and fees), versus $338 per night for standard rates—but with the $200 per night credit thrown in, that’s savings of about 33%.
