The Four Seasons Las Vegas hovers above The Strip where the last thing you'll hear is the clang of a casino. We at Deal of the Day have seen a steady stream—nay, make that a torrent—of Las Vegas deals cross our desks since this blog debuted back in March. And they're still coming. So much, that we thought it best to offer an ongoing series of roundups of the best deals in the desert.
In the first installment, we highlight our favorite hotel deals found off The Strip, where a leisurely 9-hole round, serene mountain views, and quiet pool scenes provide the bulk of the entertainment.
(1) JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa - This resort is a mini-city in Summerlin, 16 miles off the crowded Strip, with waterfalls, pools, 11 restaurants, and a the enormous Aquae Sulis Spa. There is an on-site casino, to be sure, but you won't be forced to wander through it every time you need a sandwich. Until December 14, Marriott Rewards members can stay at this 50-acre property for just $159 per night—and get a third night free. Signing up for membership is free and easy. We test-booked a three-night stay December 6-9, and found a Deluxe room for $356 (after taxes). Note that the third night is deducted upon check-out.
Dates: Valid for stays Sunday through Thursday through December 14, 2009.
How to book: If you're not already a Marriott Rewards member, sign up for free. Once done, use the promotional code MR5 when booking online or calling 1-800-721-6996.

(2) Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa - Located a bit closer to the neon, the Green Valley Ranch is
just ten miles southeast of Vegas, with a popular spa and more-class, less-flash decor that hearkens back to a time
when men donned hats and women wore garters without irony. The My Vacation/My Resort
package gets you a two-night stay and $200 in resort credits for just
$250 (before taxes and fees). Weekends are booking up quickly, but when we checked a two-night stay December 6-8, we were able to get a Deluxe King West Tower or Deluxe King East Tower room for a total of $333 (including taxes and fees).
Now, it's possible for find the same category room on the same dates for $108 per night without the promotion (including taxes and fees), but when you factor in the My Vacation/My Resort's $200 resort credit, the package rate comes out 39% cheaper.
Dates: For stays through December 29, 2009.
How to book: Reserve online or call 1-866-782-9487 and mention "My Vacation/My Resort."
(3) Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas - Okay, so technically this casino-free hotel is on the southern end of The Strip, but because it occupies floors 35-39 of the Mandalay Bay tower, you feel removed from the ruckus. Traditionally resistant to discounting its room rate, the Four Seasons Hotel is now offering a Vegas Escape package that cuts room rates to as little as $149 per night (before taxes) and includes a $50 credit toward an 80-minute spa treatment. We tested a two-night stay December 16-18 and were able to get a standard room for $334 total (including taxes). That's a savings of 35% compared to the regular price of $513 for the same nights.
Dates: Book by November 13, 2009. The Vegas Escape package is good for stays Sunday through Thursday November 15-30, and daily December 1, 2009-January 31, 2010 with a minimum two-night stay. For stays November 6-14, 2009 the weekday rates start at $169 per night (before taxes). There are some blackout dates.
