Cher strutting her stuff at the Caesars Palace Colosseum.
We at Deal of the Day have seen a steady stream—nay, make that a torrent—of Las Vegas deals cross our desks since this blog debuted back in March. And they're still coming. So much, that we thought it best to offer an ongoing series of roundups of the best deals in the desert.
In the first installment, we highlighted hotel deals off The Strip. In the second, we found the best dining deals for foodies. Today, we focus on the top entertainment for your buck (rated R or below).
(1) Cher Mezzanine Show Package - Cher, the fairy godmother of glitz and kitsch has just extended her run at Caesars Palace Colosseum. Amazingly, there are still some midweek November and December tickets available -- but with new Bob Mackie costumes and extended dance sequences, they won't last. We priced out the package for December 15, and for just $249 (after taxes), you get one night at a Classic Room at Caesar's Palace and two (yes 2!) mezzanine tickets to see Cher turn back taaaiiime. Booked separately, the room and tickets would cost $410 (after taxes and fees), that's almost 40% savings.
How to book: Call 866-510-2437 or book the package online.
(2) Le Rêve Ticketmaster Offer - With seven shows on The Strip at the same time, Cirque du Soleil has established a firm monopoly on Vegas spectacles. Thankfully, someone else has come along to challenge its reign. Le Rêve at Wynn takes the innovations of Cirque du Soleil to a whole new level, leading the audience on a surreal journey through an underworld filled with nymphs, angels, and other magical creatures. Blending acrobatics, trapeze, and feats of aquatic daring, Le Rêve is a hold-your-breath, grip-your-seat spectacular -- and now it's 20% off. Premium seats are usually $125, but you can grab them for $99.
How to book: Through this special Ticketmaster link. Use promotion code SEESHOWS.
(3) Mandalay Bay's The Lion King package - If ageless singers or sexy acrobatics are not your thing, or if you've been rebuffed by Lady Luck, The Lion King is just the ticket. Say you want to see the show on December 1; you'll get two nights accommodations and two tickets to the show for $565. Compare that to the regular room rate of $482 for the same dates, and it means you're getting the tickets for just $40 each. Mandalay further sweetens the deal with a $25 resort credit and 25% off a spa treatment at the decadent Spa Mandalay. The promotion runs from November 22, 2009 through February 28, 2010.
How to book: Go online, or call 877-632-7800 and mention code PDISNY6 - DM.
