The Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore is situated on Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara is a favorite year-round vacation spot for many reasons: the warm weather, the varied shopping, the miles of beaches, and the dining and wine culture. But if that's not enough, here's another reason to stop in this southern California city for a vacation during the winter months:
Stay two nights and get the third night free at 22 hotels in Santa Barbara through the city's 24 More promotion from now through March 31, 2010. The participating hotels range from a cross section of the city's many charming B&Bs to the luxurious beachfront Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore, so there's something for everyone's budget.
Call us pampered, but we're fans of the Spanish Colonial Revival-style Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore, a perennial Gold List hotel which recently underwent a lavish $240 million renovation. So we testbooked the hotel with the promotion. Granted, weekends usually have higher rates and less availability. But for a three-night stay January 18-21, 2010, we were able to book a Standard Room for $825, for an average of $275 per night. That's a 33% savings over the regular rate of $1,238 for three nights (all prices include taxes).
Want to visit the city sooner? Here are some Santa Barbara goings-on over the next month.
Dates: The 24 More promotion runs through March 31, 2010. There are some blackout dates, which vary by hotel.
How to book: Reserve directly through the hotel and mention the corresponding code, which can be found here.
