We've seen many deals from resorts along Mexico's coastline this fall, but what about Mexico City, the vibrant and cosmopolitan capital city? Turns out two stylish Design Hotels properties, both from the country's hip Grupo Habita brand, are offering discounts of up to 25% if you book by the end of October 2009.
Condesa df is set in Mexico City's cool Condesa neighborhood with a "hipper-than-thou rooftop lounge area," according to Assistant Senior Editor Mollie Chen. Through the hotel's October Special, you can book a Top Suite—with a king bed and great views from a private terrace—for $557 per night instead of the usual $696 (prices include all taxes and fees), for a savings of 20%. Depending on your travel dates, availability is often limited to a more expensive room category, like this Top Suite. But, as we spot-checked some other travel dates, we found that the farther ahead you book, the more likely that you'll score a room in one of the cheaper room categories. An example: In early February 2010, you can score a Balcony Double Double Room with two queen beds for $276 per night instead of the usual $345 (including all taxes and fees).
Distrito Capital, the company's newer property in the Santa Fe business district, offers a bigger savings of 25%. There are more affordable options here: You can book a junior suite if you want to, in early November for $203 per night (including all taxes and fees) instead of $276.
Dates: Book by October 31, 2009 for travel from now through December 2010. Make sure you click on the October Special rate once you've entered your travel dates. And keep in mind that the rates may change; the 20%-25% discount is predicated on the best available rate.
